Tony Luna Creative- Update- 6-30-2019

- Laura Elliott, Ghostwriter, Travel Writer- “Dear Tony, How are you???? I think of you often. I am learning so many things about being a good businesswoman. I definitely think of you when I negotiate and also when I take on clients. Thanks so much for all of your wisdom over the years.

I was featured in a success series and mentioned you in the article. I wanted to share it with you, because you were such a huge part of helping me get on track professionally and because I hope that you will enjoy the story. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I had my first 5-figure month in May and I know the sky is the limit :)  (I also just got engaged too!)

Here is the link to the story: Laura Elliott’s Success Story…-Virtually Untangled,

I hope this finds you happy, healthy and having a lot of backyard BBQs!!!!!

*waves from Santa Cruz*”

:)  Laura

- Editor’s note: The following are excerpts from the opening lines of Laura Elliott’s Success Story presented here to provide inspiration to those yearning to achieve a purpose filled life. You are encouraged to read her entire story by clicking on the Virtually Untangled link,

“About seven years ago, several personal tragedies left me unable to write. I had a side-hustle as an author of Young Adult and Middle-Grade fiction novels but lost my heart for intergalactic tales of beauty and the geek; enchanted road trips about awakening to intuition for the first time; and saving the world from a ‘shadow’ apocalypse (oddly autobiographical, who knew). Instead, I spent most days dealing with a world of real-life heartache and problem-solving which found me (among other things) paying rent with my jewelry and sobbing in the sand at my favorite beach asking God to, just, you know … take me away, please. After losing my home and then my health, I made one decision that would change my life forever.

I’d go back to the beginning. For me, this meant signing up for a night class my alma mater, The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, called ‘Finding A Meaningful Career,’ part of a 3-class series intended for art professionals who find themselves at a crossroads mid-career. In the aftermath of having to walk away from a hospitality project management construction corporation I helped to build, my livelihood had also been taken away. I needed to rebuild. I could go back to my multimedia design career, but I had new dreams I needed to find. Ones that would take my writing out of the shadows and place it center stage as my career. But I’ll be honest with you, living by my pen seemed a pipe dream at the time…

Among the many exercises we did in class, one of the most important found me rolling out a huge sheet of butcher paper and drawing my business timeline over my personal timeline to try to identify patterns in my life. The black-and-white scribbles on that paper showed two powerful patterns -- resilience and creativity. I’d gotten through tragedy before -- including breaking my neck in a car accident. I could get through my current struggles. I had this.…

For the final assignment, I created a Venn diagram to discover my professional and personal sweet spot, where my talents overlapped my passions. Mine revealed -- writing, traveling, spirituality, and helping people.

-Editor’s note: The Virtually Untangled blog, and Laura, invite you to share your own story of accomplishments in order to give encouragement to those who need to know there is hope

“If today’s entrepreneurial success story resonated with you … empowered you … and you found it to be exactly the inspiration were looking for, I would be very grateful (and so would the storyteller) if you would help it spread by sharing it on social media or emailing it to a friend. You never know whose life a passionate story, just like this one might change. Would you like the world to hear your story? Want to shout it from the rooftop? Do you want to inspire other women to follow their passion and make their dreams a reality?” Send your story to:

- Gail Mooney, Filmmaker, Photographer, Visual Assets Producer/Director- “Just got great news. Art Without Limits will be my fiscal sponsor for my newest film....Like A Woman (working title). Some of you have seen some of the profile videos I've created of women who work in male-dominated professions. I'll be shooting a few more profiles and cutting all together in a feature doc. I also hope to have it narrated by a high profile woman who helped pave the way for all women over the years. Anyone with access and intro, please contact me privately

It's been too long (7 years) since ‘Opening Our Eyes’ and it's time for this story to be told in long form. The first thing I need to do is create some key art and logo. Thank you Sky Bergman for giving me the nudge when I saw you in California. I needed that!

I have a lot of ‘content’ to pull together - key art, logo and a trailer… If you know of any female artists to recommend for key art - I’m all ears.”

- Percy Carino, Graphic Artist- “I designed the label and also made the liquor. It is a Hawaiian Inspired Pineapple Limoncello. The proverb is Me Ke Aloha Nui which means, with much love. I took the first letters of each word and designed the logo so it still sounds Hawaiian- MKAN. The whole purpose of this was to create a means to exemplify what the Aloha means. Love, support, community, and welcome. It was a labor of love to create both parts but I loved it.”

- Mauren Brodbeck, Swiss multi-sensory artist- “Dear Friends, Dear Collectors, On June 18th, the Centre de la photographie Genève (CPG) inaugurates its major collective exhibition OSMOSCOSMOS on 700 m2 in the BAC as part of the 50JPG 2019 (50 Days for Geneva Photography). I am happy to participate to this great exhibition with one of my piece from my series Friendly Skies.

…It should also be noted that the 50JPG 2019 offer a parallel program, going beyond the purely retinal experience to also appeal to touch, taste and hearing, with several evenings offered at the BAC and at our partners throughout the summer. Details are on the website 50jpg.
