A two hour lecture/workshop, "Rediscovering Your Passion-an Outline for Career Reinvention." ICON is a non-profit organization, and offers the only global conference for illustrators and the graphic arts industry. This year it will be held July 14-17 at the Langham Hotel, 1401 South Oak Knoll Avenue, in Pasadena, California. The workshops were directed at assisting mid-career creative professionals take their careers to the next level. The first workshop, "Rediscovering Your Passion" took a critical look at the things that inspire you, and the things that hold you back from expressing your creative passion, and how to find your new voice. The third workshop, "Self-Promotion and Marketing" was added to help the attendees target their marketing efforts more effectively and gain a higher return on investment for the marketing budget. All the workshops were presented at the beautiful Woodbury University campus in Burbank where the attendees had an opportunity to meet with other mid-career creative professionals who are motivated and eager to share their work. The "Rediscovering Your Passion" workshop was held Friday, July 18, 2008 (from 6:30-9:00 pm), and Saturday, July 19 (from 9:30 am-5:00 pm). The "Self-Promotion and Marketing" workshop was given all day Friday, August 1, 2008 (from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm) The price for each workshop is $175.00.
